Kanye announced on Twitter that this verse would give Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden closure over their interactions regarding Kanye’s support for right-wing “free thinkers” Donald Trump and Candace Owens.

While it’s not fully clear whether Kanye was intentionally making a statement to Ebro, just trolling, or insinuating that he had been trolling the entire time, this verse ended up going viral, sparking memes, reaction videos, and even a trollish J. Cole-mentioning remix by Smokepurpp.

In the lines Kanye is talking about scooping poop, as in his low beginnings, to “whoop” which quite obviously refers to his new audience “whooping”

The song is primarily a “diss” (for lack of a better term) for Drake. Aubrey had expressed great interest in the beat for his upcoming album. Releasing the best with utter gibberish over it was a none-too-subtle f* you to Drizzy.

drake wanted the beat and ye went through mental issues, this is why he released trash, just to mess with drake.

Drake talked about this record when he appeared on LeBron’s The shop. The song was supposed to be a collaborative effort between Drizzy and Ye, but with tension rising between the two, and after Ye gave permission to Drake to use it on his album (Drake was at wyoming during the recording sessions held by Kanye in April 2018), Kanye decided to troll drake and release the song with those meme-fueling bars.
