In South Africa (and probably the rest of the world), December is known as the month where everybody shuts down, and rests till the New Year. Many people travel to various places for the holidays to relax and spend time with family.

Another reason as to why Reason’s feeling the pressure, is because he’s not resting. Even in December, which robs him and his family of spending any time together whatsoever and is the month he should be resting and spending time with his family.
Note the repetition of “rest”.
He also plays on the name of 5FM DJ, Rob Vember.
