Reason highlights the sacrifices he has to make in order to pursue his dream/work by leaving the dinner, which is one of the times used to spend time with family.
When he says “this rap”, he could mentioning this very song.
Or, he could be saying he left to do a performance at a show, hence “this rap.” The way in which he mentions it, is in a tone of resentment/regret towards Rap, and how much he has to sacrifice.

Eminem agrees too.

The attention he gets is the media coverage he will gain by this performance. Most of it being from, Vuzu. Specifically: VEntertainment, the number one source in South Africa.

Reason’s girl feels that he’s made time for everything else but her.
Notice the word play in the second line:
“She just SUPPORTED ME, to NEGLECT HER.”
Basically she feels that the time she had held him down, has resulted in her being neglected or forgotten.

Rappers are not strangers to problems like these, ask AKA

This upsets his girl a lot.
Note: He uses “increase” which suggests she may be mad at him already for the time he’s put into his work instead of with her.

In South Africa (and probably the rest of the world), December is known as the month where everybody shuts down, and rests till the New Year. Many people travel to various places for the holidays to relax and spend time with family.

Like this place:

Another reason as to why Reason’s feeling the pressure, is because he’s not resting. Even in December, which robs him and his family of spending any time together whatsoever and is the month he should be resting and spending time with his family.
Note the repetition of “rest”.

He also plays on the name of 5FM DJ, Rob Vember.

Due to him being one of the top rappers in the country, Reason is pretty much being booked at every possible event this month and the next. Hence he says “Forget about October.”

He could be suggesting that he will be releasing something in November, but may not keep up with the deadline because of the bookings/work.

A spacey-sounding song that appropriate mentions a shit-ton of different drugs.

Produced by Chiddy Bang member Xaphoon Jones. They’ve previously collaborated on Too Fake and High by Big Sean.

The beat was taken from Theophilus London & Jesse Boykin’s III (Paris 96) – Afternoon, produced by Xaphoon. Controversial because Theophilus claimed Big Sean stole the beat.
