Underground often refers to the world of Underground unpublished music usually in the form of mixtapes. Here, Drake says that he is the King of mixtapes, and a King of the Rap underground.

He’s also referring to UGK, who he has cited as an influence on his music. Even made a song about them. Also Drake started his career in Houston, which is where he met Lil Wayne and recorded most of So Far Gone. And also where he performed with Bun B at one his first live performances after releasing So Far Gone. It was huge.
