André also views music in a religious manner:

Sometimes I’m just as surprised by some of this stuff as other people are. I’m not that talented. That shit was just meant to be. Agent Orange is the code name for one of the herbicides the U.S. Army used in the Vietnam War, as part of Operation Ranch Hand.

The purpose of the operation was to prevent enemies from hiding in the dense jungle-like terrain of South Vietnam by defoliating the trees and shrubs.

Agent Orange was found to be extremely contaminated by dioxins, which led to death, sky rocketing cancer rates and severe birth defects. People are still coping with the effects of Agent Orange, almost 3 generations later.

A comment on the health care system in the United States. Traditionally, health care facilities are owned and operated by the private sector. The costs are so high that 16% (50.7 million) of the population cannot afford health insurance, and this is a major issue in the debate for health care reform

The situation is similar to a Catch 22. Whether the United States won or lost, they would never be completely free. So while America’s victory meant that they were no longer being forcibly held in a camp, the feelings of resentment afterwards and the racism that they faced made sure that it would never be the same.

It is ironic that they were all interned due to fear that they were all Japanese spies, because if Japan had won, the Japanese Americans would have become prisoners of war in their own country, again.
