The Notorious B.I.G- was often praised for flowing well over the beat. In order to have such a legendary and famous flow, you have to listen to the beats carefully so despite the fact that BIG has passed, he will still be listening because he was always a good listener. “B.I.G. is listenin'”

Big Pun- Big Pun is considered one of the greatest lyricists in hip hop. He had a great way with words hence why Game said “While Pun talkin' to us.” He had amazing wordplay and deep and meaningful lyrics that affected many of his fans in a positive way.

Jam Master Jay- was a highly influential DJ from the 80s hip hop group Run D.M.C. Back in the 80s, people were spinning decks and Jam Master Jay was an iconic figure in this kind of hip hop which involved spinning.

Compton is a city in California which has sometimes been described as “The gang capital of the world.” This is the city that was home to the infamous Bloods and Crips gangs and people die in Compton on a regular basis as a result of gang violence. If you want to survive in Compton you can not afford to go soft. Because Game is from Compton, he needs to stay tough and not go soft in order to survive in the dangerous city. Compton has also been a huge part of the hip hop culture with acts like N.W.A which also rap about the dangers of Compton.

The Bloods are a gang formed in Los Angeles, California and is well known for being the enemies of the Crips gang. The Bloods are well known for wearing red and there are many sub-gangs that branch from the original Bloods gang.

With the influence of West Coast culture spread through hip-hop, Game is noting how Bloods are now clear across the country in Harlem, New York, an area not known for gang activity. This phenomenon was also documented in DJ Quik’s “Jus Lyke Compton” and Ice Cube’s “My Summer Vacation.”

Scarface is giving the kids that look up to him, some instructions that tell them how to live like Scarface and survive on the streets. His first piece of advice is to be your own man so in other words, do not trust anyone else and keep yourself to yourself because the moment you get attached to someone, you let your guard down and they can take advantage of you. Friends are backstabbers so Scarface is warning you to stay away from people and trust no one.

Vince has always had two sides to him and his beliefs and actions are always changing. One minute he is going out doing things that are regarded as sinful which would make you think that he will go to hell when he dies but he also thinks about his actions and asks God for guidance because part of him believes that there is a God out there who is looking out for him and trying to lead him down the right path. This gives Vince very conflicting thoughts in his head and can be very damaging for the mind.

A lot of people blame modern day technology for the lack of privacy that we have in the world which really limits us in our actions as we are constantly paranoid that someone knows what we are doing. This takes away our free will. However, P.O.R.N is saying that humans lost their free will long before technology such as “Blogs” and “iPods” were created. People need to look into history and realize that there have been people all over the world who have not had free will long before most technology of today was invented. He’s hinting that although the satellite age puts everybody under a microscope, the concept of god has always had people closely examining themselves.

Here Vince is saying that before he became a fairly well known rapper, he was judged by a lot of people and his value as a human was being judged by certain people. However, now that he is a rapper with an established fan base, he is worth more as a human that the people that judged him are worth now. Vince even thinks that the people that judged him are valued even less than they were before Vince blew up.
