Similar to having skeletons in a closet, having ghosts in any space means that elements from the past, which should be gone, are still in the space and able to influence things. This has clearly happened in the home shared by the two fighting people mentioned in the above lines.

Allowing other people (such as the narrator in this song) to see ghosts might make people uncomfortable, but that’s the price you pay for allowing the past to rule over you like a monarch.

Em’s never been into bling on the level that some rappers take it to (see Slick Rick or Rick Ross for good examples) but he admits here that he was into it at the beginning of his career, around the time he released The Slim Shady LP.

Em’s 2nd commercial album, The Marshal Mathers LP, is widely accepted to be his magnum opus and went diamond with over 10 million records sold (the most copies sold by a single hip-hop album in the US). Therefore, a copy of the MMLP on a chain would literally be a diamond necklace.

Possible triple-entendre

1) This line centers on a double meaning of the word run. A running stitch (used in sewing) weaves the thread in and out of the fabric. Sometimes they are done in parallel.

Slug is using this vision to describe his movements in life, giving the image of a consistent, regular path in a set direction.

2) He is talking about the laces in his shoes. They always remain parallel and attach his feet to the path he walks.

3) Referring to the road he chose in life. It’s the lines of the road: they run in parallel stitches.

Slug is alternating between (and sometimes telling both at the same time) telling the story in the song of a relationship between a man and woman, and the story of Kanye West’s career trajectory. This line seems to apply more to the latter.

The relationship Slug is describing in these lines is within a metaphor of height. In any collection of people (be it within a company, a society or a music industry) the people at the bottom tend not to like the people at the top, usually as a result of some envy or jealousy.

The competition passed right by without even realizing Slug was in their midst about to fuck up the program. This is not the last time Slug would use the metaphor of a classroom to describe the rap game, saying on Guns and Cigarettes:

I came in late, took a chair in the rear
But my classmates are unaware how long I’ve really been here

These lines are almost prophetic, considering that Eminem became one of the best selling artists over the next two decades and indeed spread quite a bit of terror through American society, having high profile arguments with politicians and quite a few run ins with the law.
