This is one of the coolest Star Wars figures ever released: a 6" Boba Fett similar to the one released in the main line of the Black Series, but with a much more complete set of accessories, notably Han Solo locked in carbonite, as he appears in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

The figure was released as an exclusive at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), at an initial price of $44.99; even one year later, the set will fetch a minimum of $100 on eBay or similar sites.

Hasbro followed the Vintage Series, a reissue series of classic figures from the 1970s and ‘80s, with the Black Series, designed to be the ultimate Star Wars collector’s experience… ever. (Hell, “the Black Series” even makes it sound like a fancy bottle of Scotch or something.)

For the first time, the company departed from its stalwart 3.75" size for a bigger, more detailed 6" figure line. Within a year of release, some figures from the line are commanding upwards of $100 on eBay, including the eternal fan favourite, Boba Fett… with frozen Han Solo in tow.

After creating a line of action figures for Robert Kirkman’s Walking Dead comic book, it was only fitting that McFarlane toys would also create a line for the AMC TV series based on it. Starting with Series 4 of the line, the action figures were created using full body scans of the actors from the television show, which were subsequently molded using advanced 3D printing technology.

Bandai’s Dragon Ball Z line is the definitive toy line based on Akira Toriyama’s genre-defining action manga. These figures are distributed in the U.S. by Bluefin and are absolute works of art, setting industry bars for articulation, coloration, and sculpting detail. Errico Malatesta (1853-1932) was an Italian anarchist who edited dozens of radicalist newspapers and spent more than a decade as a political prisoner. He was something of a firebrand when it came to getting the masses riled up; his public appearances could draw as many as 100,000 like-minded people together.

Here, Refused pay tribute to Malatesta’s anarchist dream, saying that by focusing on the future while gaining inspiration from the past, they can become truly vibrant and creative. This is compared to “fixed dogmas” as found in religions and political movements which are stagnant and can’t change with the times.
