I mean I got me a Range, Also got me a guilty conscience
That made you tell anybody I meet that I rent
Try Harder by Drake

Drake’s a very humble person, even now he’s still humble. He doesn’t like to show off and act like he bought the car himself. He admits that he just leased it. He’s said it many times that he just leased a Phantom, instead of buying it (see The Calm)

Yeah, and plus things are just surreal at home Fear by Drake

Being a celebrity is a lot more harder then it seems. Drake discusses this topic a lot on his debut and also on some songs on this mixtape. For example him and his dad.

Also: the things that are happening at Drakes home don’t seem to be real, Like his grandma aging and being put into a nursing home. His mom did not take that in very easily and Drake describes this event in Successful saying to was just craziness. Also his fight with his uncle who never had a problem with him and one night they were screaming at eachother.

Oh oh. It's 6 o'clock in the morning at the studio A Night Off by Drake (Ft. Lloyd)

Apparently none of this never happened, but Drake and Lloyd just imagined what they would’ve done with their girls at home if they weren’t busy making this song.

Or: After that night of passionate sex he heads right back to work

There’s nothing he can do to change what has already been written about him in magazines, blogs etc. People wouldn’t even listen even if he dedicated a verse about it basically.

Magnify the youth in me, Letting Go by Lupe Fiasco (Ft. Sarah Green)

Kids are usually very creative and think most of the time out of the box compared to adults. They can also be rebellious.

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” — Pablo Picasso

So basically Lupe is saying he needs to get the right to his creativity back and doesn’t feel like it should be constrained.

However, this is also a beautiful double meaning.

Rather than “Magnify the youth in me,” the line also sounds like “Magnify the euphony.”

Euphony, or “being pleasing to the ear” directly relates to Lupe’s message, as well as his recent release of Lasers. Lupe has said that he made Lasers more popular-sounding to reach a wider audience with his message.

The other possibility would be to magnify the youth in him because through this Lasers process, he has really gotten old, or tired of this industry and he needs to become a fresh and young artist again. That also goes along with the idea that kids at a young age are much more creative. Getting older takes away from that creativity which is needed in this industry, and even while Atlantic is trying to stifle that creativity.

Lupe is struggling not to lose the creativity he had in his youth.

As the old me I predicted all my recent plights Letting Go by Lupe Fiasco (Ft. Sarah Green)

He predicted the unfortunate or unfavorable situations that the delays would bring with them. He knew that battling with Atlantic would eventually lead to him making unpleasant concessions about his music.
