The Story of the Three Bears is a fairy tale of three bears who leave their home so that they’re porridge can cool off. While they’re gone a person (it’s either a young girl or an old woman, the story varies) enters their house, eats the porridge of the smallest bear, sits in his chair and breaks it and also sleeps in his bed. The bears return home and when they do the small bear finds the girl in his bed.

Basically Jay flipped the story a bit but what he’s saying is that his grandma told him to stand up for himself, to have courage and fight for what’s right or what you believe in.

Prince of Darkness is also a reference to Satan, as it may be argued that the devil has his hand in politics

two face most likely refers to president Bush who was known for his public persona as a simple Texan and prince of darkness almost certainly refers to Richard Perle who was known as such throughout his career for his incredibly hawkish stance om foreign policy. Richard Perle headed the Defense Policy Board Advisory Committee which was created during the Reagan administration but headed by Perle during the 43 bush administration which pushed hard for an invasion of Iraq.

Two-face may be referring to the two-party system in America, with the Democrats and the Republicans being two sides of the same coin, and the prince of darkness is their president.

Washington D.C. is known as the Chocolate City for it’s predominately Black population

It can also be a connection to the Chocolate City speech held by the Mayor of New Orleans, although it’s only connection with the whole song would be the part where Jay mentions the levee monster (and the fact that Jay is from New Orleans*), so it is unlikely but slightly plausible

America was planning to (or thinking of attacking) attack Iraq all along and is looking ahead for ways to justify an Iranian attack. Goes back to a century long quest of the West to control the Middle East and control the worldwide access to its oil and thus, the worldwide markets themselves.

Mt. Rushmore depicts the ideals of four men. Some of them are also founding fathers or people that have had huge influence in America. They symbolize the principles of liberty and freedom.

Can also refer to the Hillside strangler, meaning murder is the mother of America. The pope being a reference to religion. Religion is his brother, murder is his mother.

This last statement in regards to religion is a bit off. It would hint at an anti-religious message but that would be incongruent with many of Jay’s other songs. Rather he might be referring to Catholicism its ties with certain groups, history, influence and power structure.

If the pope is his brother then the 7 hills that the Vatican sits on must be his mother. Maybe a slight connection to bible prophecy as well?

This hillsides is talking about Europe. It’s in the Supreme Wisdom by the Nation of Islam. Lost Found Muslim Lesson #1 Question #4.

Jay Electronica’s lyrics are stepped with 5%er and NOI ideaology, the ‘Hillsides’ are the Northwestern Hillsides of Asia or Europe. This falls in line with the Pope = Brother, Hillsides (Europe) = Mother and Lady Liberty being the lover (Isis) to America’s founding Father Washington (Osirus) and the Eagle (Horus)

Reference to Pat Tillman of the Arizona Cardinals. He was defensive back, playing man vs man coverage against opponent WR and TE. Then he left his professional career and enlisted in the United States Army in June 2002 in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, attacks. On April 22, 2004, he was killed by friendly fire in the mountains of Afghanistan.

A better explanation would be: It’s about how a shit ton of American service people who could have helped post-Katrina New Orleans recover were in Afghanistan hunting down small pockets of terrorists in caves, probably spending tens of millions per terrorist caught or killed.

Children of the Corn is movie where a couple visits a (at first glance) deserted town where a death cult resides (the cults members are all kids). The cult came to be when one of the kids had a dream where a God from the Old Testament speaks to him and tells him that it’s the adult’s fault that there are problems in the town. So they kill all the adults.

This line can refer to the aforementioned ‘pigs’ that have committed countless sin and who are to blame for the trouble in the world.

There’s a lot more going on with these few bars. Consider the imagery: a midget and a baby, either of which could be mistaken for the other. One at the end of its life, one just beginning its life. The bottle could be a baby bottle, in which case it would nourish the child, or it could be a bottle of alcohol in the case of the midget, hinting at the cause of death. Lastly, the Children of the Corn reference is cryptic for a number of reasons–either the baby is playing the song, which is terrifying, considering its affiliation with cultish activities at a young age, or the midget, as an adult, is playing the song already in its casket…? There’s a whole lot of ish going on, but it seems to be an overarching theme of “nothing is at it seems”, which ties in really well with the government conspiracy and two-facedness that Jay seems to be making the central theme.

A reference to DMT which is a drug and also a compound that can be found in the human body. It’s function is uncertain but it is said to be secreted at death (or before) and when one sleeps which therefore brings one to the dreaming stage of sleep. Babies sleep for the most part and are said to have secretion of DMT during the first couple of days after being born.

People who take the drug therefore, in sense, die and when the trip stops it’s like they were reborn. But like dreams, not much is known.
