Aeon Fux

About Aeon Fux

Aeon Fux is a non-binary singer and songwriter from Washington state. The majority of their songs are sung entirely A Cappella, or played solo on omnichord.

Their songs, which they often dubbed ‘Doom Soul,’ gained traction on Tumblr and YouTube in the early 2010s, and were noted for their catchiness and short length (often less than a minute long each), and Aeon Fux’s lush, emotionally evocative voice. These songs were released under a variety of names—Valued Customer, Parasite Planet, Princess Neptune, and Amanita Virosa, to name a few—before they settled on Aeon Fux, a play on the name of 90s sci-fi series Æon Flux.

Though they worked on multiple projects, such as a space opera, and a selection of ‘love songs for sad aliens,’ they only released these songs as singles, and never culminated them into a full album or EP. In 2015, they retired the Aeon Fux name, and went through a style/genre change and began rapping as Guayaba. As Guayaba, they released their first EP, Black Trash/White House, in 2016, and their first album, Guayaba Presents: Fantasmagoría, in 2019.

As of 2023, they are known as The Executioner, vocalist in metal band Undulation.
