B-Wellz was born and raised in Wilmington, DE. He fell in love with music at an early age and the love affair hasn’t stopped growing yet. Music for B-Wellz has been a form of therapy. He was able to verbalize his feelings of anger, frustration and disappointments.
But unlike most rappers B-Wellz’s story is not one filled with tragedy. He didn’t have a hard life, but like many troubled youth, he grew up without his father and because of that there was a huge void in his life.
As the void grew, Wellz looked for objects to fill the void. He filled it with the typical things like alcohol, drugs and reckless living. He was losing control of his life very quickly. It was during a brush with the law that he took time to really look at his life and think about his future. Wellz didn’t know exactly where he would be headed but he knew that he had two things in his life that always made him feel worthwhile: his love for music and God. Wellz decided to ask God to give him another chance to get it right and God gave him that chance. But God told him that the chance is not just for himself. It was for all those that were just like he was. God charged him with being the General to go out in the field and speak to the ones that the church folk stay away from.
B-Wellz is bringing truth and love into the game and it’s for all to share.
