About Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution

Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution is a band formed in New Jersey, USA, in 2001, by former Catch 22 and Streetlight Manifesto lead singer, Tomas Kalnoky, AKA Tokay, his alongside his older brother, Achilles Kalnoky.

Their first album, Call to Arms (2001), featured an extended version of Catch 22’s song “Dear Sergio”, which Tokay reused in 2006, when Streetlight Manifesto did a cover album of Catch’s Keasby Nights. “Here’s to Life”, and “They Provide The Paint For The Picture-Perfect Masterpiece That You Will Paint On The Insides Of Your Eyelids” were also covered by Streetlight Manifesto later on.

They have an unreleased second LP, that they repurposed for Streetlight Manifesto, which featured the aforementioned “They Provide The Paint For The Picture-Perfect Masterpiece That You Will Paint On The Insides Of Your Eyelids”, as well as covers of songs like “Skyscraper” by Bad Religion, and “Linoleum”, by NOFX

Alongside the Kalnoky Brothers, the people who joined them in the band were: Nick Afflitto, Marcy Ciuffreda, Matt Dannenberg, Rachel Goldstein, Layton Hayes, John Paul Jones, Paul Lowndes, Chris Paszik, Mark Rendeiro, Dan Ross, Pete Sibilia, Shane Thomson, and Natalia Ushak, and Jaime Egan.
