About Bob Mallory

Bob Mallory is a recording and mix engineer based out of New York. Bob cut his teeth at NYC’s Avatar Studios, working on albums with artists like Kings of Leon (Come Around Sundown – Grammy nominated for Best Rock Album), Bruno Mars (Unorthodox Jukebox – Best Pop Vocal at the 56th Grammy Awards), Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Diana Krall, T Bone Burnett, Ricky Martin, and many more.

After six years and an incredible learning experience alongside the top names in the field, including engineers and producers like Mark Ronson, Al Schmitt, Bob Clearmountain, Phil Ramone, and many others, Bob left Avatar to become chief engineer at Paste Magazine’s NYC production studio. It was here that the Live at Paste sessions were born, where he recorded and mixed almost two thousand live sessions with groups ranging from promising emerging artists to well known acts like Waka Flocka Flame, Joss Stone, Steve Martin, Elle King, Durand Jones & the Indications, Mandolin Orange, NEEDTOBREATHE, Nothing More, Blue October, Nahko & Medicine for the People, Phoebe Bridgers, Noah Gundersen, Julien Baker and many more.
