Claudio Sanchez

Claudio Sanchez is a writer and multi-instrumentalist from Suffern, NY. He is best known for being the guitarist/vocalist/lyricist for prog-rock band Coheed & Cambria, as well as his side project The Prize Fighter Inferno.

He is also the creator of the comic book series The Amory Wars, the intergalactic science-fiction epic behind the lyrics of Coheed’s albums (all except The Color Before the Sun) and The Prize Fighter Inferno’s short catalog.

Additionally, Claudio has co-written two comic book series—Key of Z & Kill Audio—with his wife, Chondra, that are unrelated to the story of The Amory Wars. He also co-authored the novel Year of the Black Rainbow with Peter David, which tells the detailed story behind Coheed’s fifth studio album of the same name.
