Dan Johnson was first well known as the drummer for then-former KoЯn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch and his band Love & Death. After Welch had reunited with KoЯn back in 2013, the band took a hiatus. Around 2014, Johnson became the touring drummer for alternative metal band Red. It wasn’t till 2019 that Johnson was declared to be the full-time drummer for the band. Though an official member of Red, Johnson will still be playing drums for Love & Death on the side once their album comes out.
