About Dax

Daniel Nwosu Jr. (born March 22, 1994), better known by his stage name Dax, is a Canadian Hip Hop artist with a huge YouTube presence of more than 4.5 million subscribers who went viral with the official music video of his song “Cash Me Outside.” He is also known for his remixes of popular rap songs, such as “WHAT’S POPPIN” and “Godzilla.”

Before he got famous he was a big time basketball player, he was named MVP at Sunrise Christian Academy in his senior season. He then played for Casper College before heading to the University of Montana, and finally transferring to Newman University, where he head the Heartland Conference in scoring. While at Newman University, he worked part-time as a janitor. Additionally, he has enjoyed doing spoken-word poetry and has been a traveling motivational speaker.

Dax released his first EP, It’s Different Now, in August of 2018, featuring Futuristic and O.T.Genasis. Dax released his second EP, I’ll Say It For You, in March of 2020. The EP is supported by the singles “Dear God” and “Book of Revelations.”

After releasing a wide variety of singles from 2020 to 2021, Dax released his debut studio album, Pain Paints Paintings, October of 2021.

On November 23, 2021, Dax released the single “The Next Rap God 2.” In the song’s official music video, Dax teased his fans that if the song did not reach up to 500,000 likes before 2022, he would sign to a major label. He kept his promise in September 2022, when it was revealed that Dax had signed a record deal with Columbia Records, although Dax continues to release music independently.

On August 18, 2023, after releasing music both through Columbia and independently through YouTube, Dax released his first major label EP and his third EP overall, What is life?.
