About Duncan Stanbury

Mastering Engineer and Composer, Duncan Stanbury has made an indelible imprint on popular music. He worked on Jay Z’s breakout multi -Platinum recording “Reasonable Doubt” (1996), received Gold records for mastering recordings for Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz, Big L and Peter Gunz & Lord Tariq. He mastered Shirley Horn’s 1998 Grammy winning recording “ I Remember Miles”. The list of his credentials are impressive, including work for INXS, Dolly Parton, Kool & The Gang, The Goo Goo Dolls, Ray Barretto, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Pitbull, Afrika Bambaataa and many others. He has also mastered reissues for Mosaic Records of classic recordings by Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Nat King Cole. As Composer, Stanbury has written for Film and Television. He received an Honorary Daytime Emmy for his work on The Guiding Light (1995-96 season). His film scores include the award-winning films, The Camera’s Eye (Directed by Wendy Shear), Perhaps Tomorrow (Directed by Sandy Garfunkel), and most recently, This Shining Night, a Festival de Cannes (Court Metrage) Short Film Corner 2012 selection, starring Eric Roberts & Kevin Brown (Directed by Keith Oncale & Shawn Washburn). Stanbury and Star Music partner, John Arrucci received Best Original Music Score For A Short (This Shining Night) at the 2012 Long Island International Film Expo.
