Easterhouse

About Easterhouse

Formed in Stretford, near Manchester by Ivor Perry, he later invited his brother Andy, to improve the lyrical content, and subsequently also took hold of the vocal duties.

The Original Line up was: Andy Perry (Vocals,Lyrics), Ivor Perry (Guitar,Music), Mike Murray (Rhythm Guitar), Peter Vanden (Bass) and Gary Rostock (Drums).

The group released Whistling in the Dark and Inspiration , 2 singles before their debut album Contenders in 1986.
After the release of Contenders, Ivor left to form The Cradle, with the “Fifth Smith”, Craig Gannon.

By the release of the 1989 album ‘Waiting for the Redbird’, Mike , Peter and Gary had all left the band.

Leaving Andy to continue with a new lineup that consisted of:
Andy, Dave Verner and guitarists Steve Lovell, Neil Taylor and Lance Sabin.

All the shakeups delayed the release of their second album, the album’s reliance on programmed sound meant it aged poorly. Shortly after the release of the second album, the Band disbanded.
