Irene Adler

Irene Norton (formerly Adler) is a fictional character in Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Doyle which appears in only one story – A Scandal in Bohemia. Despite appearing in only one story she is one of the most notable characters in the Canon. Some people mistake her as Holmes' love interest, though it is just mutual admiration that exists between the two.

Irene Adler was played by Lara Pulver in Sherlock and by Gayle Hunnicutt in the Granada TV series.
