About ‎Kleptomaniac

Terrence Harding, better known by his stage names MC Klepto and Kleptomaniac, is a retired rapper best known for being a member of the New York hip-hop group Junior M.A.F.I.A.. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Harding became a security guard after graduating high school, following in his father’s footsteps.

In 1994, Harding’s security work led him to a New York club called The Tunnel, where he met The Notorious B.I.G., who had just released his debut project Ready To Die. Harding gave Biggie and his entourage a ride back from the club, but before taking them home, Harding rapped for Biggie, impressing him so much that he later invited him to join Junior M.A.F.I.A.

Kleptomaniac ended up appearing on 4 songs from Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s debut album, Conspiracy: “Murder Onze,” “Oh My Lord,” alongside Biggie, “I Need You Tonight,” with Aaliyah, and his own solo cut, “Lyrical Wizardry.” Klepto described himself as the “most business-minded of the group”, and claimed that he “brought the whole luxury aspect” into their lyrics.

After Biggie’s untimely death in 1997, JM had troubles staying together due to disputes over recording contracts. Klepto threw in the towel on rap, and now works as a real estate agent for Mark David and Company. He lives comfortably with his wife and child.
