Late Verlane

Late Verlane is the alter ego of Swedish singer-songwriter Viktor Persson.

Currently based in Copenhagen, Late Verlane creates wide-eyed alternative pop with warm, androgynous vocals sitting atop lush melodic landscapes. Projecting his affection for the sounds of classic recordings from the 70’s, Late Verlane is a space where Persson does his own take on piano ballads, experimenting with the clichés often found in the singer-songwriter genre and twisting them into something more adventurous and at once nostalgic, yet modern.

A recent graduate from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) in Copenhagen, Late Verlane has performed at a handful of music festivals in 2019 including Heartland Festival, Karrusel Festival and SPOT as well as his first London show at the Moth Club supporting Chrome Sparks earlier this year.

Recently signed to Future Classic (Flume, Buzzy Lee, SOPHIE, Erthlings), Late Verlane will be releasing Poolside, the first single from his debut EP, on September 6th 2019.
