MADE IN HEIGHTS

One of the new and interesting duos to catch extreme recognition. Having met through the weird circumstances of a mutual friend’s wedding, DJ Alexei Saba (Sabzi of Blue Scholars) and former wedding singer Kelsey Bulkin have become one of the new electropop duos to watch. Learn more about the band in their interview with Anthony Valdez.

Their name was made up by another friend. They go a little more in depth in the interview, where they both claimed the name “sparked”. Having evolved with the name, they believe their sound came from the heights; as Kelsey states:

We actually refer to ourselves and the whole project, often, as just “the heights” or like “what’s going on in the heights”…We like the idea of branded anything that we make as made in heights. Sort of saying it doesn’t have a geographic location…it’s like hovering above all these places.
