About Marc Robillard

Marc Robillard is a Canadian born, Los Angeles-based genre-redefining songwriter and producer. He blends an upbeat indie alternative core with big instrumentals, synths and new experimental sounds laced with an almost pop-like melody. After three solo albums, multiple singles and several years of writing and producing music for film and television, Robillard is now focused on writing and performing unique, diverse and explosive new material.

His recent hit “Runnin” was selected as one of the winners in the 2016 International Songwriting competition. The song was placed at the top of more than 18,500 entrants, including some of the industry’s top artists and among several of the year’s mega-hits. Robillard was previously selected by MTV and Extreme Music to be a part of their HYPE project, which showcases up and coming artists and his music was featured throughout MTV’s programming.

Marc’s last album Left London was very well received critically, “Left London is a brilliant album,” says Powerpopaholic and “You should keep your eye out for Marc Robillard,” notes Stereoboard UK. Robillard also achieved commercial success with several of his songs. “So Much More” was featured in Frito Lay’s green television commercial for a biodegradable Sunchips bag, which garnered significant attention from viewers around the globe.

A self-taught musician, Robillard plays an array of instruments, with guitar and piano as his main writing tools. Initially interested in music production, Marc worked in music studios across Canada while he writing his first album “Paper Airplanes,” which released in 2005. Born in Montreal, Robillard spent most of his childhood and teenage years playing competitive hockey, drafted to play in the Ontario Hockey League, one of the top junior hockey leagues in the world.
