About Monty C. Benjamin

Who is Monty C. Benjamin?

Earmilk.com describes him as one of the Midwest’s best kept secrets.

Born Dale James Montgomery III, Monty C. Benjamin is an American hip-hop recording artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. Since the age of 12, Monty has been using his talents, charisma, and stage presence everywhere from battle raps to talent shows.

In 2009, Benjamin dropped his first project entitled Nuthin Major, which was an ode to Cincinnati’s diversity over industry beats. Released completely independent, the tape produced a modest internet following thereafter, earning several positive reviews on various hip-hop blogs.

The year 2011 brought Monty further into mainstream hip-hop when he released his first single Like This, and was invited to perform at the SXSW Music Festival at the Illmore Mansion where he caught the eyes and ears of many renowned producers, including Arkane Beats and Khimera Records, under which he later released his next few projects.

Five years later, Monty has become more polished and versatile, with a slew of performances, projects, and awards to back that up. Currently, Monty is gearing up to release his newest project entitled “In. Confidence” set to release in December 2017.
