About Par-Lo Records

Parlo Records was a small soul label, based in New Orleans, and founded in 1966 by producer George Davis. Davis co-wrote and produced Aaron Neville’s hit “Tell It Like It Is,” and the label was set up especially to release the single. It became a million seller. An album by the same title, accompanying the hit single, was the only LP release on Parlo, as far as we know.
