Massachusetts-resident REKS first appeared on wax in 2001, years after building his name in the local Boston rap scene. His debut album “Along Came The Chosen” featured guest spots from members of the Outsidaz aswell as Ed OG. Since then, REKS has gone on to release countless albums, many of which have been critically lauded, the most acclaimed of which was 2011 “Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme” – an anagram of his rap name. The album featured production from DJ Premier, Pete Rock, The Alchemist, Hi-Tek, Nottz, Sha Money XL and Statik Selektah among others and has been hailed as one of the best hip hop albums of recent years. More recently, REKS has become more politicized which is evident in his latest album “Revolution Cocktail” released in 2013.
