About Sam Eagle

19-year-old Sam Eagle, is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the coast of Essex. Citing influences such as Nick Hakim, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and Thundercat – Sam has worked on creating a sound that brings jazzy, left field pop tunes to the indie genre.

Since releasing his debut single ‘15/8’ just 6 months ago and follow up single ‘Ode To Jack McBrayer’, Sam has quickly picked up strong support from BBC 6Music and BBC Introducing, with plays from Tom Robinson, Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Shaun Keavney and Gideon Coe.

Through this strong support from BBC Introducing after being championed by Tom Robinson – this July Sam was invited to play the sunset slot at LATITUDE Festival on the BBC Introducing Stage. As well as to play live sessions on BBC Radio 6Music for Tom Robinson, and Radio X for John Kennedy.

Sam is releasing a 6 track EP before embarking on a UK tour in this November.
