About Scorpio Music

Founded by Henri Belolo in 1976, Scorpio Music has consistently delivered globally acclaimed records across four decades, earning the music industry’s trust and respect to this day.

The creation of Scorpio Music marks a tipping point in Henri Belolo’s musical journey. After being a Polygram A&R and General Manager, he co-creates and co-produces globally celebrated acts such as the Village People, the Ritchie Family, and Break Machine. Following suit, Scorpio Music became the natural home of countless more celebrated artists throughout the years, while selling in excess of 100 million records.

Forty years later, Scorpio remains as successful as ever under the lead of Anthony Belolo, who fiercely embodies the label’s core values of trust, transparency, and a deep love of all creative people. Since 2011, the label has garnered an impressive roster of new artists including Martin Garrix, Showtek, Armin Van Buuren, Deorro and Hardwell.

Over time, the music industry profoundly changed- and so did Scorpio. While constantly strengthening its core expertise as a world-class record label and music publishing shop, it remained at the forefront of the digital revolution. Scorpio is a strong online icon, with a YouTube channel attracting more than 2 million subscribers, totaling well over 1 billion unique views.

Scorpio Music is also behind one of the biggest global hits of the decade “Mi Gente” by J Balvin and Willy William. The hit counts on over 1 Billion Spotify plays, an official remix featuring Beyoncé, and several other remixes by the world most acclaimed DJs. As for its video clip, produced and owned by Scorpio Music, it brought home a sought after MTV VMA award, and amassed over 2.8 billion views and counting.

Scorpio Music is more than just an independent French record label and publisher. With a family-like set up, the fully family owned and operated company is able to give all their artists and projects personalized attention with the resources and distribution of a major label.
