Shaan Ramaprasad is a music producer and string player based in New York & East Tennessee. He has worked on records for artists including Chance the Rapper, The Jonas Brothers, Jamila Woods, Peter Cottontale, Xavier Omar, Jordan Ward, Mereba, Cimorelli, Mac Ayres, Reuben James, Jay Prince, Madison Ryann Ward, CARRTOONS, Gareth Donkin, Kwaku Asante, Geoffrey Golden, Victor Franco, Grace Weber, Lindsey Lomis, among many others.
His work has been featured by ABC’s Good Morning America, NPR’s Music & Morning Edition, COLORS, US News & World Report, and the Associated Press.
Shaan records on a violin he built himself, with guidance from East Tennessee fiddle maker and World War II veteran JW Green.The two men were guests on NBC’s TODAY Show in 2020 to share the story of their friendship.
