About Sho Baraka

Sho Baraka (or Amisho Baraka Lewis) is a Christian hip-hop artists born in Alberta, Canada on January 10th, 1979. He has lived in California, Texas and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

He was signed to Reach Records in 2004, and was an original member of the 116 Clique – with Lecrae, Trip Lee and Tedashii. Between 2004 and his depature in 2011, he released 2 albums – Turn My Life Up in 2007, and Lions and Liars in 2010, and was featured on the 116 Clique’s compilation albums – 13 Letters and Man Up.

In 2011, he left Reach Records to create the music and art group High Soicety – with J.R, Swoope and Suzy Rock. 2 years later, he dropped his 3rd album, the more politically and racially-themed Talented 10th.

As of 2016, Sho Baraka is currently working on a new album with James Portier called “The Introduction of Louis Portier” and it should be released later in the year.
