Shuja Haider

About Shuja Haider

As a child, Shuja Haider would keenly watch his grandfather play the piano but his own prime objective was to play cricket. It wasn’t until much later that he pursued music in earnest, eventually becoming one of the top composer, singer, songwriter and producer of the country. Establishing his own recording studio, Speed of Sound in 1996, Haider rose to fame with his hit single, ‘Tera Woh Pyar’, and has produced music for mainstream acts such as Quratulain Balouch (QB), Strings, Haroon, and Fariha Pervez amongst others.

Best known for his collaboration with Shoaib Mansoor on his films ‘Khuda Kay Liye’ (2007) and Bol (2011), Haider’s accomplishment also includes being one of the music directors for Coke Studio in Season 9 and 10. He is also responsible for the OSTs of several drama serials and music scores for various films being produced in Pakistan.
