Stephen “Steve” Ferrone (born 25 April 1950) is best known for being the drummer for the rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers for the last 25 years, replacing original drummer Stan Lynch in 1994. He is a former member of the Average White Band and has recorded and performed with Duran Duran, Stevie Nicks, Laura Pausini, Christine McVie, Slash, Chaka Khan, Eric Clapton, Bee Gees, Scritti Politti, Aerosmith, and Johnny Cash.
