Prodigy of Mobb Deep described the car crash in which Scarface died, saying:

My man [Gambino] lost his twin brother [in the accident] and then another one of my mans was held responsible for that, even though it was an accident. He got to deal with that reality; he’s thinking damn he killed his friend by accident and everybody dealing with the reality of the situation. A lot of people got hurt my man, [Money No] got hurt; he was almost paralyzed, Twin [Gambino] broke his collar bone. They found one of my mans in a tree. They found his head slit down the middle.

Prodigy also explained that Scarface Twin’s death, along with the death of other people around them, contributed to the dark tone of Mobb Deep’s third studio album, Hell On Earth.

Ty Nitty of Infamous Mobb explains that their crew were dealing with a lot of deaths at the time:

After my brother got murdered man it all started to go downhill. Havoc’s brother died, Killa Black, Scarface Twin. We had lost so many people. Dirty Harry had got killed in that accident too [with Scarface Twin]. It was so many people that we lost but it also tells me that I’m here for a reason.
