Tyler Durden

Tyler Durden is a fictional character who appears in the first published novel by Chuck Palahniuk entitled Fight Club.

Tyler is extremely interesting and influential considering the nature of his character, as he is the antagonist of Fight Club, not the hero. Not only is Durden searched for on Google more than any other person, fictional or non-fictional, named Tyler, he is Googled more often than any other word or name that starts with the letters, t-y.

Shortly before the release of the first of ten issues which would make up Fight Club 2, the author encouraged his fans to promote the sequel in a guerilla style manner. The author created the hashtag, #TylerLives, and it took off on the streets in a way nobody really expected.
