Ugly Casanova

Ugly Casanova is a band started by Modest Mouse front man Isaac Brock, who originally fabricated a claim that a man named Edgar E. Graham, going by the pseudonym ‘Ugly Casanova’, who cornered the band backstage at a concert in 1998, eventually sharing his music with them. Impressing the band with his performance, a few shoddy recordings were made, after which Graham vanished entirely. Brock said he recorded the songs to attempt to coax Graham back onto the music scene.

However, all of this was false. Isaac admitted in an interview with Indyweek that Edgar was “a fiction thing that [Brock] started awhile back to eliminate [himself] from the band,”
