Veronica Falls

About Veronica Falls

English/Scottish indie band Veronica Falls was active between 2009 and 2014, releasing two albums, five EPs and a handful of singles. Consisting of Roxanne Clifford (lead vocal and guitar), James Hoare (guitar and vocals), Marion Herbain (bass) and Patrick Doyle (drums and vocals), Veronica Falls was described by Allmusic’s Tim Sendra as: “…[producing] reverb-heavy songs full of melody, co-ed harmonies, and hints of darkness.” The same website gave the band’s eponymous debut album five stars out of five, suggesting they had made “…perfect pop look easy”. The band members drifted apart in 2014, with Hoare going on to co-form Ultimate Painting, Doyle forming Boys Forever, and Clifford releasing music as Patience. Doyle tragically took his own life in 2018, aged just 32.
