Vic Rivers is an emerging independent hip-hop artist from Queens, New York. Growing up in a diverse neighborhood and in a multi-cultural household, to a Puerto Rican father and Guyanese mother, Vic encountered many different walks of life that later inspired his music. By the time he was 13, music had become his outlet for dealing with frustration and depression. He found music to be the soul’s therapy. Years later, that inspired him to record songs that would allow him to express himself freely.

Vic used his depression as a source of inspiration to create diverse organic music, and founded his own music production company called Diversity Never Abandoned; an acronym for DNA. The name serves as an ode to diversity and his multicultural upbringing – not only ethnically but sonically.

As an artist, Vic strives to make music that reflects on who he really is and portrays the environment he grew up in. His main ingredient to remaining true to self and his supporters is transparency. Unlike many artists, Rivers takes pride in creating music without using profanity or lying. He shares many of his life struggles that many can relate to.
