Weasel Sims; real name Rufus Tyrese Sims is an American rapper born and raised in Chicago, IL-West Side (South Austin Neighbourhood) and Maywood/Bellwood, IL. Weasel Sims first rose to prominence with his breakout single, R.A.N. (REAL ASS NIGGA) which gained massive attention in the Chicago rap scene.

Weasel is the son of well-known former drug kingpin Weasel Sims. After surprisingly seeing his picture on popular A&E television show “Gangland”, he released his second single by the same title. “Gangland” would go on to be the lead single for his debut project, Road 2 R.A.N.. He continued to release music including songs with Vic Spencer, GLC, Chris Crack, and producer ChaseTheMoney along with numerous projects in his repertoire. He (so far) has one mixtape, two albums, one EP with D.jbari, and two albums with Jae Haze as The Lil People.

In 2020, while on house arrest, Sims formed the group The Lil People with his frequent collaborator Jae Haze. Their Coke Raps album managed to peak at 95 on the Apple Music top 100 albums on release day. This all culminates in Weasel producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going and fun. It is music that is infused with positive energy to allow for an immersive experience that brings authenticity to the stories in his songs.
