After previously playing guitar for the bands Clouds Take Shape and Calling of Syrens, Zach Hansen, along with bandmate Tony Pizzuti, formed The Word Alive with Craig Mabbitt, as a side project from Mabbitt’s band, Escape The Fate. Hansen and Pizzuti remain the only founding members to still play for The Word Alive.
