Note the irony in the fact Jigga is namedropped and Biggie is sampled in the hook.

"Image is everything I see, it got a lot to do" (J. Cole – Chaining Day) | accepted

“Image is everything I see” has somewhat of a proverbial meaning to it, when using the term “image” to refer to the literal image the human eye perceives and relays to the brain via optic nerves.

Relates to the classic adage, “‘I see,’ said the blind man.”

It’s not quite contradictory to that line, per se, but it does reflect that line in that he continues to fall victim to “the nigga urge”, though this time he seems more aware that he will continue to spend money recklessly here and there as far as he upholds his success as a high-paid individual.

"But we paraphrase a book written thirty-five hundred year..." (Macklemore and Ryan Lewis – Same Love) | accepted

“paraphrase” could refer to the people of today who put the verses of the Bible into their own words, but could also reference how many will only accept the King James Version (which is less than 500 years old, leaving thousands of years to be lost in translation.)

“Change” is being used as a double ententre here, meaning both extra money and an alteration.

"You make me glow, but I cover up / Won’t let it show, so I’m" (Demi Lovato – Heart Attack) | accepted

Could be a reference to the saying, “Horses sweat. Men perspire. But ladies merely glow.”

"Bodies on top of bodies, IV's on top of IV's" (Kendrick Lamar – M.A.A.d City) | rejected

↑ Probably one or the other, but not both. I’d say it’s still just a double entendre.

“As I put these crayons to chaos” could be a continuation of the Canibus diss. “Chaos” is a song off the album 2000 B. C., and Em could be saying he can lyrically match it with minimal efforts (crayons).

"How's that for a mistress" (J. Cole – God's Gift) | accepted

As implied by the term “mistress”, this is a more subtle way of saying “and she ain’t even my main girl.”

“Quadruple my salary” implies that he’s already gambled his entire paycheck once and won, and is about to try the same thing again.
