One of my favorite projects of 2013...
So I’m noticing all these links to various magazines/personal lists counting down the top albums and songs of 2013. While the year had great releases I wanted to share one of the projects that I liked a lot that may not have gotten the recognition I feel it deserved. It is by a rapper named Struggle. His debut album, titled ‘I Am Struggle’ was released May 17 of this year. Struggle, who also goes by Struggle Jennings, is the grandson of legendary country/western singer Waylon Jennings. If you don’t know who Waylon Jennings is do some quick research. He is a legend in the country/western genre. In honor of his grandfather, every song on his album samples a previously released hit by Waylon. The result? A very interesting sound that brings hip-hop together with a raw western sound. The way the two genres are merged into one I thought was pretty awesome. Content and lyrical wise, there is a nice balance of upbeat party songs, ballads, and more street songs. Overall I think its awesome that he payed homage to family and went back to his family roots. To me, that says a lot about the type of artist he is and the respect he has for family and all genres of music. Below are a few songs I wanted to share. I hope you guys enjoy the project like I did.

This doesn’t seem to be all that. Your whole analysis appears to be based on the like of family roots and western music.
