That’s very very tough. 10 years is enough time for dozens of masterpieces to come out. i’m sure I’m gonna forget a few, but let’s dive :

  • Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 (you can argue that’s two games, I agree)
  • Mass Effect 1, 2 & 3 (you cannot argue that’s more than one game, no way)
  • Halo 2
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (yes, i’m a zeldawhore)
  • Pokémon X & Y
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl (not perfect but still pretty damn good)
  • Fable
  • Fire Emblem Awakening (the breeding mechanic is awesome to increase the replay value)

The fight for “game of the 7th generation” title, for me, is between the first two lines up there.

So 2000 to 2010, well from the top of the head I can think of many, but I guess especially GTA releases, Halo releases, Devil May Cry (s/o to the niggas who put it on their lists), lesee, Total War releases, Sims, Marvel vs. Capcom, Hitman, Max Payne, and a few Metroid games here and there. Fifa 08 as well cause of the career, when your budget updated on a day by day basis.
