Ye could also be putting together a metaphor, with sun-rays being the sharp light of the media who often criticize him. Much like sunglasses block the haters, Yeezy’s complexion is able to turn away criticism and objection. He’s too rich and famous to be phased by critics.
Could Kanye be alluding to the legend of Icarus? “Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too high, because the heat of the sun would melt the wax, nor too low, because the sea foam would soak the feathers.”
Kanye is saying that unlike Icarus, he can do whatever he wants and fly however he likes. Not only that, he does it in style.
