Get jacked like Jill
John Newbery’s ‘Mother Gooses Melody’ references the Jack and Gill nursery rhyme
Jack and Jill went up a hill
To fetch a pail of water,
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
and Jill came tumbling after.
Das is implying that they will rob you of your sustenance. This is analogous to the nursery rhyme in that, Jack and Jill, while trekking to get water (which is a life-sustaining substance), failed miserably and ended up with nothing but bruises.
