But I don't go 'round fire expecting not to sweat
Lil Wayne often refers to himself as the “Fireman”, since he is such a good rapper that “he’s on fire” (slang, used a lot in basketball, for “on a roll”). But here we see a more modest Weezy admitting that he is not invincible (fire still makes him sweat) — kind of like on The Carter Documentary when he admitted he doesn’t experiment with drugs because he’s scared (just weed).
Could also be interpreted as if he did not go into a song with Eminem thinking he wouldn’t be challenged by the “Fire Marshall,” who he knows may kill his verse but he thinks he is good enough to face the challenge.
