My life used to be empty like a Glock without a round
Now my life full, like a chopper with a thousand rounds

from Game (Ft. Lil Wayne) – My Life Lyrics on Rap Genius

Meaning

One way to look at these two lines is by associating it to when he was younger. Using a couple of “gun” similes to describe his setting of Compton, he used to think that he had no reason to live… because everyone around him was getting killed. Now, he has come to the realization that he’s alive on this earth for a reason.

The irony in this couplet, though, is that one can hear rounds of an assault rifle being shot in the background. If a chopper gets loaded, isn’t someone/something bound to get shot eventually… hence lose its purpose in life?

On another note, when he was a gang member, he was just trying to survive (basically, avoid being killed). Now, he has a son and a family; therefore he feels like his life’s purpose has actually been fulfilled.
