Stabbing women like the Phantom
Ok, so Nas is getting a lot of ladies on his way to Indiana. But which Phantom is he talking about?
The Phantom of the Opera, a disfigured opera-lover who becomes obsessed with a female singer. Probably the most likely option even though he doesn’t actually stab any women in the story and is revealed to be a virgin at the end.
The Phantom Killer, a serial killer responsible for several murders in Texas and Arkansas in the forties. He didn’t stab any of his victims though and targeted couples rather than women specifically.
The Phantom, a comic book superhero from the fictional African country of Bangalia. He has guns for weapons rather than knives though. And he’s married so presumably only ‘stabbing’ the one woman.
We’re going with Phantom of the Opera. There are loads of versions — there’s bound to be one with a knife-wielding villain.
Although Stabbing in this context probably means he’s giving them the good stuff.
