Now-a-days everybody wanna talk like they got somethin' to say
But nothin' comes out when they move their lips
Just a bunch'a gibberish
And motherfuckers act like they forgot about Dre
There was a huge layoff between Dre’s debut The Chronic (1992) and 2001 (1999), and in between the two albums Dre left Death Row in 1996. In the meantime, Suge Knight put out a record titled Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000, which contained multiple disses of Dre for leaving the Row. It even took the title of what Dre planned to name this album, so Dre decided to one up him with 2001 (2001>2000). But as far as anyone else cares, if Suge and his artists are trying to call out Dre while he’s still around, their whole album was really just a bunch of noise.
