“Faust” is the 5th song on all versions of G-Sides and a B-side for the song “Rock the House”. The song is mostly sung by the virtual band member, Noodle, with her lyrics later roughly translated and sung by 2-D.

The song is named after Faust, a German legend in which a successful scholar who is unsatisfied with his life makes a pact with the devil, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures. “Faust” is also the middle name of fictional Gorillaz bassist, Murdoc Niccals.
