A Technical Flow Lyrics

[Ryron Gracie]
This is Ryron Gracie and I'm going to explain what jiu jitsu means to me. I never started jiu jitsu. The same way I never started breathing and the fish never started swimming. As a newborn baby my father would play jiu jitsu games with me. These games allowed me to learn new techniques and review past techniques every day. Reflexes got sharper. Attention to detail increased more and more. I started learning principles. Such as efficiency, patience and timing

Over the years I have learned hundreds of fighting techniques. Yet these principles, attached to the techniques are what have had the strongest influence on my life. I am more patient and compassionate with strangers, acquaintances and family. I show understanding when someone is frustrated or angry. I walk away from conflict when others choose to face it

I anticipate your move, because I have used your move. I understand your mistakes because I have made them. I am efficient with my words and my energy. I am faster, because I move slowly. I am aware of my surrounding and ready for the unthinkable. I am calm, yet explosive at the same time. I am prepared ,because I am patient. I am patient, because I have knowledge. I will be where you don't expect because I am everywhere

I am calm, because I am confident. I am confident, because I have experience. I learn where there is no lesson and I don't accept defeat. I appreciate defeat. If I never step on the jiu jitsu mat again, or wear a gi for the rest of my life I will still do jiu jitsu everyday. Because I am jiu jitsu

[VERSE Kalhi]
You feel the stare down, something like two kings in opposition
Visualizing the submission
Moves ahead like a thought out combination
Listen, triangle choke like anastaesia
A Bishop like Adisa
Moving always
Guarding my queen all day, she be a goddess like Caissa
This one is for the Bay
I used to spit rhymes in the hallways
Rear naked choke like a lion on his pray
Get it?
Tryna' escape in different ways But I stay with it
On the mat I battle cats
The same way I take your back, a strategized plan of attack
It's a wrap I got the hooks in
Stay in control like the rook, Blayne
We train hard
This ain't a game I ain't playing
Free rolling like a boss
Staying fluid like water, when you count another loss
Represent the gentle art
Never too late to meet your fate
So check your mind state
Until then it's game over playa checkmate
