About the history of the world

Where the walls were trees
With big leaves and branches
That stood before the ranches
And stood before the farms
Which stood only
As something to stand for
In a land worth fighting
A war for over and over
Until we finally boiled over
Into our new lives
With new homes
And new wives
And new scores to settle
And new wars to battle
Over barren useless dirt
On earth of no real worth
Under people considered worthless
A nation as a person
A person lacking a purpose
A person and an earth
Burned beneath the surface
